First the bad news: The shop will remain closed until at least the 24th of July, and perhaps even longer. Bummer, I know!!

Let me explain…

Since closing the shop on June 1st I have been on medical leave trying to resolve issues with my wrists. Yep, you guessed it the almighty Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Both wrists – confirmed by EMG to be moderate to severe. I had hoped to have a course of treatment and/or have returned to work by this date but thanks to summer vacations and overworked specialists I will not be able to discuss my options until late July.

Although corporate restrictions are driving me a little insane – the delay is really allowing me the time to not only research alternatives to the CTS Release surgery but the time to actually pursue them. Call it a blessing in disguise!!

So what does this mean for ITW? It means that your wallets are safe for the summer; well, at least from my shop. And frankly it means that I have WAY too much time on my hands to create new colourways, rework the website, investigate e-commerce solutions, finally design a logo, etc…

And the good news: ITW is my passion – the shop will reopen.

So until then, stay tuned for details on new colourways, forum events, and the growth of ITW. And, yes, updates on the CTS!

With summertime upon us things have gotten a bit unpredictable; I decided that I would rather place the shop in vacation mode then delay the shipment of an order. SO! That all being said, enjoy the next couple weeks and I look forward to returning with some new ideas, colourways and perhaps even a date of the next shop update!!

Really? One year since ITW was launched?!

Over the past year I have learned more then I can even begin to describe. I have been blessed with many things since the launch of ITW, but none of them rival the friendships formed. To describe the past year is virtually impossible. Instead I will just say that it was spectacular and thank each and every person I had the privilege of working with, talking to, chatting with and in some rare yet delightful instances; actually meeting!

I think one of the best parts of ITW’s birthday is that it coincides with the Chancellor’s Sheep & Wool Festival which pretty much guarantees lots of colourful pictures in this post…

In celebration of ITW’s birthday there will be a shop update on Saturday May 1st at 8:00pm EST. And, as an expression of my sincere appreciation; shipping fees will be disabled from 12:00am Saturday morning until 11:59pm Saturday night.

Well, when we introduced the project to our readers we neglected to mention that we had planned to submit the article for consideration as an Etsy Storque Article.

Happy almost Friday everyone!!

The next week is going to be a tad insane with couple of “start of the fiscal year” trips. Instead of closing the shop I have decided to keep the shop open and announce minor shipping delays on orders placed in my absence…

The first: Orders placed between Thursday 4/14 and Sunday 4/18 will ship on Monday 4/19.

The second: Orders placed between Monday 4/19 and Thursday 4/22 will ship on Friday 4/23.

And the last: ITW will be at the Clermont / Chancellor’s Sheep and Wool Festival on Saturday 4/24. Orders placed between Friday 4/23 and Sunday 4/25 will ship on Monday 4/26.
