With the Serenity/Firefly club theme coming to a close next month it is time to talk about the next round of club. BUT that is a topic for another day. Today I would like to announce the arrival of a NEW club option that will be on sale starting on Thursday, July 5th, 2012!
First shipment will occur in August!!

Like the regular club, the LUXE club will run in four month cycles. As I do not have access to 12 varieties of exotic fiber blends, I will be repeating fibers throughout the year. Here is a breakdown of what you can expect to receive during the four month cycle:
Three of the following luxury blends:
Polwarth/Silk
Merino/Silk
BFL/Silk
Merino/Silk/Bamboo
SW Merino/Silk
One of the following super-luxury blends:
50/50 Merino/Silk
Alpaca/Merino/Silk
Merino/Cashmere
Additional details such as pricing and subscription options will be made available as July draws closer! Stay tuned!
Thank you to The Rainbow Girl – creator of stunning hand dyed fabric and threads for use in contemporary embroidered textiles – for including me in the EtsyFAST – “Silky Soft” Etsy Treasury!!

Individual pictures are available for viewing on Flickr. Or feel free to check the ‘Photos’ page for the slide show – that is if you want to – it is your choice really.

I am just so excited about this batch because it is the largest batch of painted fiber to date. Plus I figured out how to effectively and efficiently dye up a full pound of the same colourway at a time !! Think phrases like “a sweaters worth of fiber” or perhaps “Phat Fiber Sampler” or my personal favorite: “ITW (Into The Whirled) Fiber club” …
Sorry for my absence as of late. Summer is here and ’round these parts that is when we make bank. Well, not really ‘bank’ but enough to get through the winter.
Although my posting slowed down during the tour, my spinning did not! I am proud to declare that I was able to keep to my commitment of at least 15 minutes a day – even with work schedule’o'madness. And I am even prouder to admit that I started to knit a pair of socks from one of the tour yarns.
Betcha didn’t even know that I knew how to knit.
Oh, and the real (or at least the most exciting) purpose of this arbitrary photo-less post…
I received over 50lbs of new fiber from one of (yes, exactly “one of” – in the past month I have applied for and been approved by two new wholesale accounts) my new suppliers.
Some new fibers you will soon see in the shop:
Merino/Silk
Merino/Tencel
Merino/Cashmere
BFL
Corridale
