According to my To-Do list, I am suppose to share my 2012 Festival schedule today. Instead, I would like devote today’s blog post to the fact that ITW was officially pulled from the waiting list and added as a vendor at the 2012 Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival!!

While I would LOVE to share how awesome, and I mean AWESOME, an opportunity this is, time is tight. SO, lets just go with a big ‘ole…

Yarn & Fiber Club – Colourway Inspiration Contest

It is that time again folks!!

Time for YOU to decide the inspiration for the Yarn & Fiber Club!

For those new to the group – here is the short explanation:
Everyone shares fabulous photographs with the Into The Whirled Ravelry Group, everyone votes for their favorites, and by the end of February – I have three images to use as colourway inspirations for the next three months of Club!

There are some rules and guidelines, but they are simple:

Dates for image submission:
February 6th – February 20th

Theme for this round:
Firefly / Serenity

The Rules:
Share only ONE picture per post.
There is no restriction on the number of images you may enter.

The details:
On February 20th I will close the thread to new entries and ask that folks vote for their favorite images with the click of the LOVE button.

Votes will be tallied on Friday, February 25th and the top THREE winners will be announced! Those three images (in no particular order) will be the source of inspiration for the April, May and June Fiber & Yarn Club colourways!!

The prizes:
The individuals responsible for posting the winning images will each receive a braid of the fiber or yarn created in their colourway!

Twisted Gals spin-a-long: On sale TODAY!

Remember when I shared the details about the Completely Twisted and Arbitrarily SAL? Well, the inspiration pictures where chosen, the colourways created and TODAY – the fiber goes on sale!! Here are the details of the SAL as they were shared with the group:

Round One:
Pre-orders will be taken today starting at 1:00pm EST

Pre-orders will be accepted until 11:59 on Saturday, February 4th.

Inventory disclaimer:
I ordered a LOT of fiber in anticipation of an eager reply. If I underestimated the eagerness of your response I will immediately notify the group of any potential delay and promptly order additional fiber. Please note that this disclaimer was added to ward off that party pooper Mr. Murphy and his laws.

Shipping:
Round One orders will ship on or before February 10th.

Round Two:
There will be a second chance to place orders or additional orders. After Round One ships, I will evaluate inventory, order additional fiber as needed and officially announce the next round. I can tell you this – the next round will run from Wednesday, February 22nd until 11:59 on Friday, February 24th with a ship date set for Friday, March 1st.
