I ordered a LOT of fiber in anticipation of an eager reply. If I underestimated the eagerness of your response I will immediately notify the group of any potential delay and promptly order additional fiber. Shipping:
Round One orders will ship on or before February 10th.
Round Two:
There will be a second chance to place orders or additional orders. After Round One ships, I will evaluate inventory, order additional fiber as needed and officially announce the next round. I can tell you this – the next round will run from Wednesday, February 22nd until 11:59 on Friday, February 24th with a ship date set for Friday, March 1st.

Last fall I was asked to participate as the Host Dyer in the Completely Twisted and Arbitrarily Spinning Group (on Ravelry) for the “Twisted Girls SAL in February/March!! For those who have not yet heard of the group, I’ll let their group description enlighten you…
We are a bunch of potty mouthed spinners and wanna-be spinners. We like to chat. A lot. We love awesome indie dyed fibers. We are picky bitchcakes and yarn hoar(der)s. Pull up your big girl panties and come on in! YOU MUST BE OVER 18 to Participate
I think y’all might like the format: From now until the 27th of January folks are invited to share TWO (no more) inspirational images from the chosen theme ”The Tudors” – the group then votes on the images they find most appealing and I then use them as the inspiration for a couple colourways.
The official rules:
Posting CTA Members are invited to post in this thread, up to 2 photos which fall under the theme of “The Tudors”. Any more than 2 per person and the 3rd one will be deleted. No Chatting please this thread will be for photos only so chatty will also be swooped away forever NO LINKS! Pictures only, please!
Voting CTA Members only should vote for the picture which best represents the colors they would love to see on fiber. Please do not solicit votes from other people since we want this to be about the participants spinning pleasures. If you are not planning on participating please do not vote! Starting the SAL I’ll close this thread on Jan 27th and present the top 4 photos to Cris. When they are ready she will announce the details about the bases available and how to purchase them! Let’s see some inspiration pics!

Just prior to the Tour de Fleece I was approached about hosting a swap for scraps and thought it would lend to a fabulous spin along for members of the ITW Ravelry Forum.
Assuming that most folks on the Tour ransacked their stash bins we thought it also safe to assume that some came across some fiber that fits the “what was I thinking?!” category and would love to “repurpose” it somehow…
The idea is simple:
Send 4 or 8 ounces of hand dyed fiber to my attention (full details can be found on the forum) and once the fiber is received, the fiber will be divided into little bundles of random goodness and within a week’s time redistributed to everyone involved.
Some guidelines:
Fiber must be received by September 23, 2010. Turn around will be about a week. Then the fun really starts…
Participants will have approximately two months to spin some fabulous and funky patchwork yarn and share their process and progress along the way. Prizes will be awarded – categories to be announced as the fiber starts to arrive!
Oh and if your curious about the whole “Swap for Scraps” idea – I cannot lay claim to the idea – there is a whole group devoted to the exchange and creation of crazy scraps yarns.

Forgive me dear blog, I have not forgotten you or those who read you; but you know how it goes, works gets busy, the weather turns warm, the snow melts and then suddenly after months of not having anything to do your overwhelmed with the shear quantity if things you must accomplish…
And here we are, just days away from the May-Jun of the Spin Along shipping and I never even showed you a hint of what the Mar-Apr round looked like! How can you ever forgive me?
I will not make a promise I cannot keep, but: I will try really, really hard to stay on top of things around here…
The May-Jun spin along fiber will be listed in the SHOP on Monday May 10th at 5pm EST! And as a reminder, here is the time line of events:
